Beauty is Webby
The New York Times has dubbed the awards the “Oscars of the Internet”, and rightly so. Honouring excelling in online media, every year some 10,000 entries from over 60 countries worldwide are submitted to the prestigious, international Webby Awards. The competition is fierce but NIVEA has made it through and has been nominated as one of five contenders for the prize of “Best Beauty and Cosmetics Website”.
Two For One
While the nominations are decided by the jury alone, the winners are voted on by both the jury and in the public in the Webby People’s Voice Award. The jury itself is organised by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organisation that includes David Bowie, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, AKQA Global Creative Director Rei Inamoto, "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, Real Networks CEO Rob Glaser and The Weinstein Company’s Harvey Weinstein.
