Always fine whether
One day, four seasons
In April, we often experience all four seasons in one day. This makes a nice change after a grey winter, of course; but rain showers, windblown hairstyles, and sudden heat waves do bring with them some surprises. The weather requires all our flexibility – and not just in choosing clothes and planning sports and weekend activities. The climate also puts our circulation on a roller coaster. If you pay careful attention to your body’s signals, it’s easy to stay fit and attractive throughout spring.
Fit for all of nature’s moods
The fluctuating temperatures require our bodies to make constant, taxing adjustments. We’ve just begun to sweat in the first sunshine, and then the body has to warm itself up again to cope with a chilling wind. When the weather warms up, the blood vessels expand, often resulting in a tired feeling. The best remedy is a juice cocktail made of fresh fruits and vegetables such as red beets, carrots, and strawberries. After all, an adequate supply of fluids and minerals is the key to well-being. About those clothes: Make a virtue of necessity. By wearing a stylish layered look, you’ll be equipped for any change in the weather.
The humidity, bright sunshine changing , and temperatures can also take a toll on our skin and hair. Unfortunately, we often forget that the sun shines just as long in April as it does in August – it’s just that the air is cooler in April. From being cooped up in winter’s darkness, the skin and hair are much less prepared for strong sun exposure, causing them to lose moisture and age more quickly in spring. Special lotions and creams pamper your hair with plentiful moisture and restore its essential nutrients. Stressed hair can also be strengthened with a nourishing shampoo, and regular treatments will protect it against breakage.
Active care
The first warming rays of sunshine kindle our desire for more exercise, too. Especially outside in the fresh air! If you are careful about conditioning and building up your muscles again after the winter break, you’ll see the greatest progress in your fitness over the long term. Proper care also supports your fitness program. Treat your skin and hair to the best protection against the stress caused by heavy perspiration, frequent showering, and UV exposure. Alcohol-free deodorants that work with minerals or chamomile extracts are best and help prevent possible skin irritation. Especially when showering after exercise, take care to use moisturizing or vitalizing shower gels that maintain and support the skin’s natural protective function. After physical activity, subtle scents also help you relax, adding to your feeling of well-being.
